8、 accordancewith Terminology D883,unless otherwise specified.For termsrelating to precision and bias and associated issues,the termsused in this standard are defined in accordance with Terminol-ogy E456.3.2 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.2.1 apparent core density(of a cellular plast

9、ic),ntheweight in air per unit volume of a sample,after all formingskins formed during the manufacturing process have beenremoved.3.2.2 apparent overall density(of a cellular plastic),ntheweight in air per unit volume of a sample,including all formingskins formed during the manufacturing process.4.S

10、ignificance and Use4.1 If the material to be tested includes forming skins,theapparent overall density,or the apparent core density,or both,shall be determined.If the material does not have formingskins,the term overall density is not applicable.4.2 This test method is also applicable to spray foamm

11、aterials.4.3 Before proceeding with this test method,reference shallbe made to the specification of the material being tested.Anytest specimen preparation,conditioning,dimensions,or testingparameters,or combination thereof,covered in the relevantASTM materials specification shall take precedence ove

12、r thosementioned in this test method.If there are no relevant ASTMmaterial specifications,then the default conditions in thismethod apply.4.4 When density or apparent density is used in reference toa cellular plastic,without further qualification,it shall beinterpreted as follows:1This test method i
