8、finitions of other textileterminology used in this standard refer to Terminology D123.4.Summary of Test Method4.1 A specimen is agitated in a solution of solvent and adrycleaning detergent with steel balls to simulate the actionthat occurs in a drycleaning machine.5.Significance and Use5.1 Test Meth
9、od D2058 is useful for determining the effectof repeated drycleaning on the appearance of the decorativecoating of a zipper.5.2 This test method is considered satisfactory for accep-tance testing of commercial shipments because the method hasbeen used extensively in the trade for acceptance testing.
10、5.2.1 If there are differences of practical significance be-tween reported test results for two laboratories(or more),comparative tests should be performed to determine if there isa statistical bias between them,using competent statisticalassistance.As a minimum,the test samples should be used thata
11、re as homogeneous as possible,that are drawn from thematerial from which the disparate test results were obtained,and that are randomly assigned in equal numbers to eachlaboratory for testing.Other materials with established testvalues may be used for this purpose.The test results from thetwo labora
12、tories should be compared using a statistical testunpaired data,at a probability level chosen prior to the testingseries.If a bias is found,either its cause must be found andcorrected,or future test results must be adjusted in consider-ation of the known bias.5.3 The method(s)in the standard along w
