9、temperature andhumidity conditions.4.Significance and Use4.1 The purpose of this practice is to simulate the agingprocess of cellulosic loose-fill insulation.By identifying anychanges in flame retardant permanency due to the agingprocess,producers can design loose-fill insulation to meet orexceed ma
10、terial specifications throughout the product lifecycle.5.Procedure5.1 Apparatus:5.1.1 Air oven,humidity cabinet or appropriate condition-ing chamber capable of temperature and humidity conditionsallowing for successfully completing the prescribed procedureas defined in 5.2.5.1.2 Material specimens t
11、o be tested after simulated agingshall be prepared and placed in the appropriate test container inaccordance with the applicable material specification or Prac-tice C 687.For specimen to be tested using Test Method E 970or Test Method C 1485,prepare three specimen trays to allowfor repeat testing if
