、ncipal ob-jective of the evaluations was to develop best estimates for the temperature variation of the basic properties-yield,tensile,rupture and creep strengths-that are required for establishing allowable stresses for the power generation and process industries.Creep and rupture data were not ava

、g industrial organizations(including some made available to the ASME Boiler and Pres-sure Vessel Committees for establishing allowable stresses),as well as data previously published in ASTMs Data Series Publications.Data sources are identified in the list of references. All of the data evaluated are

、identified in Tables I and II as to specification number and alloy grade or type, heat treatment, product form and size, grain size, and chemical composition, insofar as those had been reported. The properties that have been evaluated in-clude yield and tensile strengths,as measured in conventional short

、time tensile tests,at room and elevated temperatures, and creep and rupture strengths.Creep strength has been evaluated at two levels, specifically as the stresses causing secondary creep rates of 0.1 percent and 0.01 per-cent per 1000 hours.Rupture strength has been evaluated as the stress for ruptur

、e in 1000,10,000 and 100,000 hours. In all instances, the strength evaluations have been developed in the form of trend curves defining the variation of strength with temperature, and therefore directly useful for establishing allowable design stresses. The ductility properties, percent elongation and percent reduction of area at fracture, are included in the tables, when reported, and have been plotted in summary figures to illustrate trends of behavior.Whereas in previous reports in this series, the te
