3、ograms.This approach is recommended foruse within the nuclear fuel cycle.However,the steps describedcan be beneficially applied to the development of othertechnical training programs.It is particularly valuable forpromoting the efficiency and safety of a complex technicaloperation.1.2 This guide pro
4、vides a description of the activities to beconsidered in developing effective training programs.It iswritten from the viewpoint of an industrial user.The approachis based on an operating organization(company)using itsresources to develop training programs to meet that companysspecific needs.1.3 The
5、responsible organization or individual who wouldperform the activities described will differ due to the uniquevariability in organizational structures of those applying theprocess.This is,therefore,not addressed in this guide.It is alsonot within the scope of this guide to prescribe the specificmeth
6、od for performing the activities.1.4 There are many associated activities and decisions notconsidered such as training facility design,audio-visual re-sources,and documentation systems.However,to reduce thepossibility of oversight,it is recommended that the user refer to“A Checklist for Technical,Sk

9、job(that is,radiation safety,reactorcooling system).3.1.4 unitsthe subdivisions of training courses wherecertain subjects related to specific duties are presented(that is,radiation self-survey,primary coolant flow).3.1.5 lessonsthe component parts of a course unit thatpresent individual subject mate
10、rial(that is,the Geiger-Mellercounter,the PC-1 coolant pump).3.1.6 job analysisthe examination of a job to determinethe duties,tasks,and associated activities performed in a job.The results are lists that clearly define the job in terms of whatis done.3.1.7 task analysisthe systematic examination of
11、 exactlywhat is done when performing a task(the action steps,operations,or elements),the conditions under which it isperformed,and the standards for adequate performance.Theproduct of this is a detailed description of exactly what theemployee must do and how it is done.4.Significance and Use4.1 The
12、purpose of this guide is to outline a generic processfor development of training programs which meet the demand-ing requirements of the nuclear fuel cycle.The application ofthis process is intended to promote a training program that willbe thorough,effective,and efficient in providing the knowledgea
13、nd skill required for the job at hand.4.2 The product of the overall process is a training program.Several of the steps in the process result in tangible elementsthat can document the process and provide a basis for inde-pendent review of the development efforts.This allows assess-ment of the comple
