1、Designation:B41698(Reapproved 2013)Standard Specification forConcentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum-Clad Steel Conductors1This standard is issued under the fixed designation B416;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year of
2、last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers bare concentric-lay-strandedconductors made from bare,hard-drawn,round,aluminum-clad steel wires
3、of 20.3%conductivity for general use ofelectrical purposes. This specification does not apply tostranded conductors for reinforcement in ACSR conductors.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that

10、 by electrical butt-welding.The ends must becut and the end of each wire must be straightened for a distance of 12 to15 in.(300 to 380 mm).The proper sleeve is slipped over the end of oneof the wires. The wires are then butt-welded and dressed off to a finisheddiameter equal to that of the wire. The w
