3、vacuum test methodto demonstrate the integrity of the installed materials and theconstruction procedures.This test method is used for testingconcrete manhole sections utilizing mortar,mastic,or gasketedjoints.1.2 This test method is intended to be used as a preliminarytest to enable the installer to
4、 demonstrate the condition of theconcrete manholes prior to backfill.Users are hereby cautionedthat misuse or misapplication of the test criteria containedherein can cause permanent damage to the system being tested.NOTE1Vacuum test criteria presented in this test method are similarto those in gener

15、Trade(TBT)Committee.1 7.Procedure7.1 The test head shall be placed at the top of the manholein accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.7.2 A vacuum of 10 in.Hg shall be drawn on the manhole,the valve on the vacuum line of the test head closed,and thevacuum pump shut off.The time shall be m
16、easured for thevacuum to drop to 9 in.Hg.7.3 The manhole is acceptable if the time for the vacuumreading to drop from 10 in.Hg to 9 in.Hg meets or exceeds thevalues indicated in Table 1.7.4 If the manhole fails the initial test,the manhole shall berepaired by an approved method until a satisfactory test isobtained.7.5 Use or failure of this vacuum test shall not precludeacceptance by appropriate water infiltration or exfiltrationtesting,(see Practice C969),or other means.8.Precision and Bias8.1
