6、ication and a requirement of referenced generalspecifications,this specification takes precedence.In the caseof conflict between a requirement of the product specificationor a requirement of this specification and a more stringentrequirement of the purchase order or contract,the purchaseorder or con
7、tract take precedence.The purchase order orcontract requirements shall not take precedence if they,in anyway,violate the requirements of the product specification orthis specification,for example,by the waiving of a testrequirement or by making a test requirement less stringent.Inthe case of conflic
8、t in terminology between API standards andTerminology A941,Terminology A941 definitions shall beapplied.1.4 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard.Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore,each system shall
9、 be used independently of the other.Combining values from the two systems may result in noncon-formance with the standard.1.5 This specification is expressed in both inch-pound unitsand in SI units;however,unless the purchase order or contractspecifies the applicable M specification designation(SI u
