2、 parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers wrought unalloyed tungstenplate,sheet,and foil.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.The

5、n Test Data toDetermine Conformance with Specifications3.Terminology3.1 Lot Definitions:3.1.1 ingot,nno definition required.3.1.2 A manufacturing lot shall consist of a material of thesame size,shape,condition,and finish produced from the ingotor powder blend by the same rolling reduction schedule a

6、nd thesame heat treatment parameters.Unless otherwise agreedbetween manufacturer and purchaser,a lot shall be limited tothe product of an 8 h period for final continuous anneal,or toa single furnace load for final batch anneal.3.1.3 A chemical analysis lot shall consist of a singlepowder blend in th

7、e case of products manufactured frompressed and sintered powder metallurgy shapes,or a singleingot in the case of products manufactured from ingot.3.2 Product Forms:3.2.1 foil,na flat product less than 0.005 in.(0.13 mm)inthickness.3.2.2 plate,na flat product 0.188 in.(4.75 mm)or more inthickness.3.

8、2.3 sheet,na flat product from.005 in.(0.13 mm)to0.187 in.(4.75 mm)in thickness.4.Ordering Information4.1 Orders for material under this specification shall includethe following information:4.1.1 Material identification and metallurigical condition(Section 7),4.1.2 Product form(Section 3),4.1.3 Chem

9、ical requirements(Table 1),4.1.4 Tolerances(Section 9,Table 2,and Fig.1),4.1.5 Workmanship and quality level requirements(Section10),4.1.6 Packaging(Section 14),4.1.7 Marking(Section 14),4.1.8 Certification and reports(Section 13),and4.1.9 Disposition of rejected material(Section 12).5.Materials and

10、 Manufacture5.1 The various tungsten flat products covered by thisspecification shall be formed with the conventional rolling,forging,or extrusion equipment,normally found in primaryferrous and nonferrous plants.5.2 The ingot metal is consolidated employing either thepowder metallurgy or vacuum-arc-

11、casting process.6.Chemical Composition6.1 The tungsten ingots or billets for conversion to finishedproducts covered by this specification shall conform to therequirements of the chemical composition prescribed in Table1.6.2 Heat Analysis:6.2.1 Heat analysis is an analysis made by the manufacturerof

16、analysis made by the purchaser orthe manufacturer of the metal after it has been processed intofinished mill forms,and is either for the purpose of verifyingthe composition of a heat or lot,or to determine variations inthe composition within a heat or lot.6.3.2 Check analysis tolerances do not broaden the specifiedheat analysis requirements but cover variations between labo-ratories in the measurement of chemical content.6.3.3 Check analysis limits shall be as specified in Table 1.6.3.4 The manu
