3、eling and identification of pole vault landingsystems.1.2 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard.Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore,each system shall be used independently of the other.Combining valu

6、ystem where the pole vaulter intends to land.3.1.1.1 DiscussionThe base unit sections provide the ma-jority of the padding behind the planting box.In most polevault landing systems,they are several large rectangularsections that compose the majority of this portion of thelanding system.(See Fig.1.)3

7、.1.2 common top cover,nthe continuous covering overthe top surfaces of all parts of the primary landing system.3.1.2.1 DiscussionIt may function both as padding and asa binder to help hold the base units and front bun sections inplace during use.(See Fig.1.)3.1.3 front bun sections,nthose components

13、um pole vault landing system dimensionsstated within this document are based upon the investigation ofcatastrophic pole vaulting accidents.4.2 The minimum overall dimensions for the primary land-ing system are 6.00 m 19 ft,8 in.wide by 6.15 m 20 ft,2 in.long from the front edge of the front buns to
