2、last revision.Anumber in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscriptepsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers the minimal requirements ofski and snowboard goggles(intended for nonmotorized use)toprovide a reas

3、onable degree of protection against snow andmoisture striking or lodging in the eye or surrounding softtissue.1.2 The scope of this specification shall include require-ments for materials,optical properties,lens strength andretention,labeling,identification,and testing procedures.1.2.1 Contact lense

4、s,sunglasses,and corrective dress eyewear are not included within the scope of this specification.(WarningImpact resistant prescription spectacles that con-form to the standard specifications of ANSI Z87.1 should beused if spectacles are to be worn under goggle-type eyewear ascovered by this specifi

5、cation.)1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as thestandard.The values given in parentheses are for informationonly.Metric units of measurement in this specification are inaccordance with the International System of Units(SI).If avalue for measurement as given in this specification i
