16、chnique and signifi-cance of the impact test,including severalformal symposia.The last Impact Symposium was heldin 1938.Much technical developmentsince that time has been attributed toinformation contained in those sympo-sium papers.Now seventeen years later another Impact Symposium steps into a field thatis already brimming with interest andactivity.Some phases of this field carrythe designation Environmental Test-ing.Along this line,it was suggested sometime ago by members of the ImpactCommitt
