4、er of new light sport aircraft,engines,or propellers as a partof the initial sale or transfer to the first-end user.1.1.2 This specification does not apply to the sale or transferof used light sport aircraft,engines,or propellers.1.2 This specification applies to aircraft seeking civil avia-tion aut

6、es and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2.Terminology2.1 Definitions:2.1.1 weight-shift-control,npowered aircraft with aframed pivoting wing and a fuselage,controllable only in pitchand roll by the pilots ability to change the aircrafts center ofgravity with respec

8、se of this specification is to provide theminimum information necessary for the proper identificationand operation of each light sport aircraft.4.Information Requirements4.1 The information given shall be included where appli-cable on the information plate as specified in 4.2.In addition,the documen
9、ted operating and maintenance instructions speci-fied in Sections 5 and 6 are to be furnished by the manufactureror seller at the time of initial sale of each aircraft.4.2 Information PlateA manufacturer-issued fire proofinformation plate,printed in English or as defined by thegoverning civil aviati
10、on authority or agency in which theaircraft was initially sold,shall be permanently affixed to theaircraft in a visible location and shall be designed to remainlegible for the expected life of the aircraft.The informationplate shall be made of steel and have the required informationeither stamped or
11、 engraved onto the plate.4.2.1 Serial NumberA manufacturer-issued unique identi-fying number or code affixed to the aircraft.4.2.2 Name and Manufacturer,including the name of themanufacturers city,state,and country.4.2.3 ModelA manufacturer-issued unique identifyingname,number or code assigned to ea
12、ch manufactured type ofaircraft having the same structural design or components.4.2.4 Date of ManufactureThe date(month and year)determined by the manufacturer that the aircraft met hisrequired design and manufacturing specifications.4.2.5 Markings and Placards:4.2.5.1 The aircraft must be marked wi
13、th the followingplacard:The aircraft operating instructions must be carriedwith the aircraft.Occupants must be familiar with informationnecessary for safe operation.4.2.5.2 Each marking and placard must be displayed in aconspicuous place and may not be easily erased,disfigured,orobscured.5.Aircraft
