3、pplications.It establishesstandards covering material,manufacture,mechanical andchemical properties,dimensions,coating,test methods,inspection,certification,and product marking for hubless castiron soil pipe and fittings.These pipe and fittings are intendedfor non-pressure applications,as the select
4、ion of the propersize for sanitary drain,waste,vent,and storm drain systemsallows free air space for gravity drainage.1.2 The EDP/ASA numbers indicated in this section repre-sent a Uniform Industry Code adopted by theAmerican SupplyAssociation(ASA).A group designation prefix,022,is as-signed to hubl
5、ess products,followed by the four-digit identi-fication assigned to individual items and a check digit.Thissystem has been instituted to facilitate EDP control throughdistribution channels,and is to be used universally in orderingand specifying product items.Those items with no EDPnumbers are either
