15、y requirements for com-pressors used in the process industries.This information is intended to provide guidance to those who design,install,and operate compressors.Safety requirements de-scribed in this Standard for compressor auxiliary equip-ment,including drivers,shall not apply to such auxiliary
16、equipment when used in applications other than compres-sor installations.1.2 Scope(a)The specific recommendations in this Standard cover the requirements for safety devices and protective facilities to prevent compressor accidents as a result of excessive pressure,destructive mechanical failures,inter-nai fires or explosions,and leakage of toxic or flammable fluids.General safety practices and hazards unique to compressors are also covered.This Standard applies to the compressor and its auxiliar
