2、entheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon(e)indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.INTRODUCTIONThe primary function required for the chemical warfare vapor detector(CWVD)is as a chemicalwarfare agent(CWA)point detector that can be used to detect

3、,identify,quantify,and warn personnelof the presence of vapor or gas phase CWAs.The CWVD will provide visual and audible indicatorsand alarms,it will display the CWA class and point concentration,and it will record and store CWAconcentrations as a function of time.This information will be made avail

4、able locally and fortransmission to a remote location.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers the technical and missionrequirements for the use of a CWVD and relates each of theperformance and electrical shock and fire parameters to adetector requirement.Refer to Table 1 for reference materialcorrelati

5、on.1.2 This specification also defines the interfaces between theCWVD,communication systems,service platforms,and powersources.Refer to Table 1 for reference material correlation.1.3 The CWVD will be used to sample air and reportconcentrations of the following nerve and blister CWAs:GA,GB,GD,GF,VX,H

6、D,L,and HN3.The CWVD is required todistinguish between agent types with the exception of G typeagents.The CWVD may work in conjunction with otherdetection devices to provide a broader range of detection andidentification.1.4 The definitions in this specification apply only to thisspecification and s
