7、forms a solid,durabledelineator.4.Summary of Practice4.1 A random selection of three bags of thermoplasticpavement marking material is made from a manufactured lot.Using one of the three size reduction methods outlined in thisprocedure a small,representative sample of the manufacturedlot is obtained
8、.This sample may then be used for the testing ofthe chemical and physical properties of the marking material.5.Significance and Use5.1 It is important to obtain a truly representative sample ofthe thermoplastic pavement marking material prior to perform-ing any tests.This can be difficult due to the
9、 wide ranges ofsizes,shapes,and densities of the individual components thatare used in the manufacture of these types of materials.Thesample that is obtained using this guide should be representa-tive of the manufactured lot from which it was obtained andcan be used for the testing of the chemical a
