2、 case of revision,the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of lastreapproval.A superscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 The specification covers a two-part flowable space graderoom temperature vulcanizing(RTV)sili

3、cone rubber adhesiveor compound.The material is specifically designed for appli-cations requiring extreme low temperature,low outgassing andminimal volatile condensibles under extreme operating condi-tions.The RTV silicone rubber should be suitable for with-standing environmental exposure to tempera

4、tures from 115 to200C(175 to 392F).The material should also withstand thecombination of stress,temperature,and relative humidityexpected to be encountered in service.The RTV silicone rubbermay be used as a sealing,caulking,potting or bonding materialfor applications on metal,plastics,rubber,glass,an

5、d ceramicproducts.Types I and II are often used as coatings.1.2 The values stated in SI units or inch-pound units are tobe regarded separately as standard.Within the text,theinch-pound units are shown in brackets.The values stated ineach system are not exact equivalents;therefore,each systemmust be

6、used independently of the other.Combining valuesfrom the two systems may result in nonconformance with thisspecification.1.3 The following precautionary statement refers to the testmethod portion only,Section 8,of this specification:Thisstandard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns
