3、also be useful for responsetosuchspecifications.The B133 standards provide essential information fortheprocurementofgasturbine power plants.Theyappytoopen-cycle,closed-cycle,and semi-closed cyclegasturbines with conventional combustion systemsfor industrial,marine,and electric power applications.All
4、 auxiliaries needed for proper operation arecovered.Not included are gas turbines appliedtoearth moving machines,agricultural and industrial-typetractors,automobiles,trucks,buses and aero-propulsion units.Forgasturbines using unconventional or special heat sources(such as:chemical processes,nuclear
5、reac-tors,orfurnaces for supercharged boilers)these standards maybe usedasa basis;butappropriate modifica-tions may be necessary.The intentofthe B133 standards istocover the normal requirementsofthe majorityofapplications,recognizing that economic trade-offs and reliability implications may differ i
6、n some applications.The usermay desiretoadd,delete or modify the requirements in this standardtomeet his specific needs,and he hasthe optionofdoing so in his own procurement specification.The B133.5 standard.applies mostlytogas turbine stations used for power generation.Appropriatesec-tions however,
