3、by the U.S.Department of Agriculture2in the 1930s.Thisstandard takes into consideration childrens growth patterns reflected in the 1980 charts for theNational Center for Health Statistics,the 1977 Anthropometric Study of U.S.Infants and Childrenconducted by the University of Michigan,2000 CDC Growth
4、 Charts for the United States3,and CDCAdvance Data No.361,dated 7/15/2005.All sudden shifts of proportion have been eliminated so asto reflect the gradual growth and development of the child.To verify the proposed bodymeasurements,a three-dimensional Avatar was created in the size range by Alvanon I
5、nc.for a visualreference and also attached to the documentation.1.Scope1.1 These tables list body measurements of girls sizes.Although these are body measurements,they can be used as abaseline in designing apparel for girls in this size range whenconsidering such factors as fabric type,ease for body
6、movement,styling,and fit.1.2 The maximum age for the Girls chart is 1212years oldto the size 20.1.3 The size table includes the range of toddler sizes,thesevalues are for both girls&boys and will be included in theboys standard as well.1.4 These tables list body measurements for the completerange of
7、 Girls sizing.Slim subjects are of same stature(height),with a slimmer body,and lower body weight than regularsubjects as illustrated by the measurement charts.1.5 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsshall be regarded separately as standard.The values stated ineach system may not
8、 be exact equivalents;therefore,eachsystem must be used independently of the other,withoutcombining values in any way.1.6 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any,associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate
