3、or fluorescent UV and condensation exposures conductedaccording to Practices G151 and G154 for bituminous roofingand waterproofing materials.(See Terminology G113.)1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard.The values stated ineach system ma

10、ature,light,and water.Achoice of six test cycles is given along with options fordetermining the period of exposure and evaluating results.4.Significance and Use4.1 This weathering apparatus is used for comparing theweathering characteristics of bituminous materials against acontrol material for whic

11、h the outdoor weathering characteris-tics are known.It is not possible to establish a precisecorrelation between accelerated and natural weathering be-cause(1)there are geographical climatic variations,localweather variations,and variations in local pollutants,and(2)the relation between accelerated

12、and natural weathering ismaterial dependent.Acceleration factors differ between mate-rials as well as between formulations of the same material.Guide G141 provides guidance regarding this issue.NOTE1This practice can be used for other than bituminous materials,but the significance and use have not b

13、een evaluated.5.Apparatus5.1 The fluorescent UV and condensation apparatus usedshall conform to the requirements defined in Practices G151and G154.1This practice is under the jurisdiction ofASTM Committee D08 on Roofing andWaterproofing and is the direct responsibility of Subcommittee D08.02 on Stee
