3、cification covers requirements,test methods,and methods of marking for chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride)plastic hot-and cold-water distribution system componentsmade in one standard dimension ratio and intended for waterservice up to and including 180F(82C).These componentscomprise pipe and tubing,so
4、cket-type fittings,street fittings,plastic-to-metal transition fittings,solvent cements,and adhe-sives.Requirements and methods of test are included formaterials,workmanship,dimensions and tolerances,hydro-static sustained pressure strength,and thermocycling resis-tance.The components covered by thi
5、s specification areintended for use in residential and commercial,hot and cold,potable water distribution systems.1.2 The products covered by this specification are intendedfor use with the distribution of pressurized liquids only,whichare chemically compatible with the piping materials.Due toinhere
6、nt hazards associated with testing components and sys-tems with compressed air or other compressed gases somemanufacturers do not allow pneumatic testing of their products.Consult with specific product/component manufacturers fortheir specific testing procedures prior to pneumatic testing.NOTE1Press
