2、entheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This test method is used to thermally reduce cutbackasphalt,a road oil or a semisolid asphalt,having a penetrationgreater than 100,to a residue of spec

3、ified penetration.It isprimarily used with slow-curing cutback asphalt as specified inSpecification D2026/D2026M.1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard.The values stated ineach system are not necessarily exact equivalents;therefore,toens

4、ure conformance with the standard,each system shall beused independently of the other,and values from the twosystems shall not be combined.1.3 WarningMercury has been designated by the UnitedStates Environmental ProtectionAgency(EPA)and many stateagencies as a hazardous material that can cause centr

5、al nervoussystem,kidney,and liver damage.Mercury,or its vapor,maybe hazardous to health and corrosive to materials.Cautionshould be taken when handling mercury and mercury-containing products.See the applicable product MaterialSafety Data Sheet(MSDS)for details and EPAs websitehttp:/www.epa.gov/merc
