3、y in November 2003.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers acrylonitrile-butadienestyrene(ABS)pipe produced by single extrusion or simultaneousmultiple coextrusion,in standard thermoplastic pipe dimensionratios and pressure rated for water(seeAppendix).Included arecriteria for classifying ABS plastic p

4、ipe materials and ABSplastic pipe,a system of nomenclature for ABS plastic pipe,and requirements and test methods for materials,workmanship,dimensions,sustained pressure,burst pressure,and extrusionquality.Methods of marking are also given.1.2 The products covered by this specification are intendedf

5、or use with the distribution of pressurized liquids only,whichare chemically compatible with the piping materials.Due toinherent hazards associated with testing components and sys-tems with compressed air or other compressed gases somemanufacturers do not allow pneumatic testing of their products.Co

6、nsult with specific product/component manufacturers fortheir specific testing procedures prior to pneumatic testing.NOTE1Pressurized(compressed)air or other compressed gasescontain large amounts of stored energy which present serious safteyhazards should a system fail for any reason.1.3 The text of
