7、rA measured sample is reacted with Hydro-chloric Acid and Potassium Iodide to complex the copper ion.The solution is then titrated with a standard solution of SodiumThiosulfate.The Copper is calculated as CuO.3.2 ChromiumA diluted and chemically treated sample isreacted with an excess of Ferrous Amm

8、onium Sulfate.Theunreacted Ferrous Ammonium Sulfate is titrated with a stan-dard solution of Potassium Dichromate to determine theconsumed chromium.Hexavalent Chromium is calculated asCrO3.3.3 pHThe solution is measured for pH with a glasselectrode.4.Significance and Use4.1 Acid copper chromate for

9、use in the preservative treat-ment of wood must conform with Specification D 1624.5.Purity of Reagents5.1 Purity of ReagentsReagent grade chemicals shall beused in all tests.Unless otherwise indicated,it is intended thatall reagents shall conform to the specifications of the Commit-tee on Analytical

10、 Reagents of the American Chemical Society,where such specifications are available.7Other grades may beused,provided it is first ascertained that the reagent is ofsufficiently high purity to permit its use without lessening theaccuracy of the determination.5.2 Purity of WaterUnless otherwise indicat
