3、air elements used as components for buildingconstruction.Autoclaved aerated concrete is a cementitousproduct based on calcium silicate hydrates in which lowdensity is attained by the inclusion of an agent resulting inmacroscopic voids and is subjected to high-pressure steamcuring.Installed units cov
4、ered by this specification shall beprotected against direct exposure to moisture using a coatingmaterial accepted by the AAC manufacturer.1.2 The raw materials used in the production of autoclavedaerated concrete are portland cement, quartz sand, water, lime, gypsum or anhydrite, and an agent resulting i
5、n macroscopicvoids. The quartz sand used as a raw material may be replacedby a siliceous fine aggregate other than sand and usually isground to a fine powder before use.Fly ash may be used as asand replacement. The batched raw materials are mixed to-gether to form a slurry. The slurry is cast into stee
6、l molds.Dueto the chemical reactions that take place within the slurry, thevolume expands. After setting, and before hardening, the massis machine cut with high accuracy into elements of varioussizes. The elements then are steam-cured under pressure inautoclaves where the matrix is transformed into a sol
