3、ealed,round copper wire for use in electrical equipment.1.2 Five classes of wire are covered as follows:1.2.1 Class 2Wire whose nickel coating is at least 2%ofthe total weight of the coated wire.1.2.2 Class 4Wire whose nickel coating is at least 4%ofthe total weight of the coated wire.1.2.3 Class 7W

4、ire whose nickel coating is at least 7%ofthe total weight of the coated wire.1.2.4 Class 10Wire whose nickel coating is at least 10%of the total weight of the coated wire.1.2.5 Class 27Wire whose nickel coating is at least 27%of the total weight of the coated wire.NOTE1For information purposes,the t

5、hickness of coating in micro-inches provided by the percentages listed in 1.2 is shown in Table 2.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.The values given in parenthesis are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not consider

16、025 mm)greater than a size listed in Table 2 and less thanthat of the next larger size,the requirements of the next largersize shall apply.6.2 ResistivityThe electrical resistivity of the coated wireat a temperature of 20C shall not exceed the values prescribedin Table 2.6.3 Dimensions and Permissible VariationsThe wire sizesshall be expressed as the diameter of the wire in decimalfractions of an inch to the nearest 0.0001 in.(0.0025 mm)(Explanatory Note 2).The coated wire shall not vary from th
