3、rations,and maintenance pro-cesses to ensure safe and reliable power generation for theexpected life of the photovoltaic system.Specifically dealingwith commercial photovoltaic installations,this practice coversa broad spectrum of designs and applications and is focused onthe proper process to ensur
4、e quality.1.2 This practice does not cover the electrical aspects ofinstallation found in existing and national codes and does notreplace or supersede details of electrical installation covered bythe same.The practice does address the integration of bestpractices into design and construction.1.3 Thi
5、s practice shall not dictate specific design criteria orfavor any product or technology.1.4 This practice shall be focused on the proper,docu-mented process required to build and operate a quality PV plantas defined in Section 3.1.5 Integration of best practices shall be relevant to thisstandard and
6、 promote a mechanism for rapid evolution andreaction to changes or events.Conformity assessment for PVpower plants is being developed through the IEC System forCertification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use inRenewable EnergyApplications(IECRE System).Sandia Labshas developed several model
7、 documents that may be adoptedas acceptable consensus standards through other standardsdevelopment organizations.1.6 The standard is divided into three key areas:1.6.1 Design,engineering,and construction of the PV plant.Systems should be designed with operation and maintenance(O&M)in mind.Further st
8、andards should be developed forbuilding integrated or building mounted systems,modules withembedded power electronics,lightweight flexible modules,orother specific components.1.6.2 Commissioning,testing,and approval for power gen-eration(Utility Witness Testing).Standards for owner accep-tance will
9、also be addressed.1.6.3 O&M of the PV plant including performancemonitoring,periodic inspection,preventive maintenance,andperiodic re-commissioning.1.7 Safety and hazard considerations unique to thisapplication,such as worker fall protection,electrical exposure,accessibility of modules,and roof clea
10、rance(around theperimeter of the array)are addressed by other codes,standards,or authorities having jurisdiction.1.8 This practice provides guidelines for minimum pro-cesses required and must be used in conjunction with appli-cable codes and standards,government regulations,manufac-turer requirement
