16、als5.1 Base MetalThe base metal shall be steel of suchquality and purity that,when drawn to the size of wire specifiedand coated with an organic polymer,the finished wire shall beof uniform quality and have properties and characteristics asprescribed in this specification.5.2 Wire used for the manufacture of tension wire shall meetthe requirements of this specification.The polymer coatingshall be formulated and produced properly to conform to therequirements of this specification.6.Manufacture6.
