4、 andmaintenance materials for causing stress corrosion cracking oftitanium alloy parts.1.2 The evaluation is conducted on representative titaniumalloys by determining the effect of contact with cleaning andmaintenance materials on tendency of prestressed titaniumalloys to crack when subsequently hea

10、nsure that cleaning and mainte-nance materials will not initiate stress corrosion of titaniumalloys under controlled conditions.For test specimens,twocommon titanium alloys are selected,one that is very suscep-tible(AMS 4916)and one that is not very susceptible(AMS4911)to stress corrosion cracking.4
