6、er test for making and breaking capacities in utilization category AC-1 providedits rated operational current for AC-1 does not exceed 2.5 times Ie.In other cases,its making and breaking capacities shall be verified with a test circuit comprising:一a substantially non-inductive load(cosp=0.950.05);-a
7、 low-impedance supply circuit with a prospective short-circuit current at least 30 times the ratedoperational current of the contactor(but not necessarily exceeding 30 kA).D1.2 Test circuit for utilization category AC-2If a contactor has been tested for category AC-3 or category AC-4 with a rated op

10、ional test circuit for verification of rated making and breaking capacities of contactors inutilization categories AC-3 and AC-4Nore.-This test circuit shall also be utilized for the verification of electrical endurancein category AC-4(see Clause8.4.1 of Publication 158-1).D2.1 GeneralThe test circuit comprises the supply source,the contactor under test and the load circuit.Theprospective short-circuit current at the point of connection to the supply terminals of the contactorshall be at least ten times the value of the test current,or at least 50 kA,whichever is the lower.
