1、Guide for Authors Types of PapersCancer Letters is an international journal that consider full length articles and mini reviews in the broad area of basic and translational oncology. Additionally, special issues highlight topical areas in cancer research. Areas of interest to the broad readership of

2、 Cancer Letters include the molecular genetics and cell biology of cancer, radiation biology, molecular pathology, hormones and cancer, viral oncology, metastasis and chemoprevention. The journal places emphasis on experimental therapeutics, particularly targeted therapies for personalized cancer me

3、dicine. All original papers submitted to Cancer Letters will be evaluated by the Journals Editors and should be between 3000 and 3500 words. The Editorial Office has adopted a rating system, in order to establish which manuscripts will be sent out for peer review. The rating system allows the Editor

4、 to assess the manuscript in terms of the following criteria: * Presentation* Style and structure* Quality of English language* Whether the topic being covered is within the aims and scope of the journal* The manuscripts scientific novelty together with how it compares to other manuscripts submitted

5、 on similar topics. Those manuscripts which are judged as being eligible for consideration by the Editors will be subject to peer review. Page chargesThis journal has no page charges. 6、hics and ProceduresThe editors and publisher of this Journal believe that there are fundamental principles underlying scholarly or professional publishing. While this may not amount to a formal code of conduct, these fundamental principles with respect to the authors paper are that the paper should:

7、* be the authors own original work, which has not been previously published elsewhere* reflect the authors own research and analysis and do so in a truthful and complete manner,* properly credit the meaningful contributions of co-authors and co-researchers,* not be submitted to more than one journal

8、 for consideration (ensuring it is not under redundant simultaneous peer review), and* be appropriately placed in the context of prior and existing research. Of equal importance are ethical guidelines dealing with research methods and research funding, including issues dealing with informed consent,

9、 research subject privacy rights, conflicts of interest, and sources of funding. While it may not be possible to draft a code that applies adequately to all instances and circumstances, we believe it useful to outline our expectations of authors and procedures that the Journal will employ in the eve

10、nt of questions concerning author conduct. Relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed (see Studies involving experiments with animals must state that their care was in accordance with institution guidelines. 11、ps with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. 14、tters Submission of an article to Cancer Letters implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved

15、by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher. Manuscripts should be submitted in Engli

16、sh. Authors full names, academic or professional affiliations, and addresses should be included on the first page. All authors should have made substantial contributions to all of the following: (1) the conception and design of the study, or the acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of

17、 data, (2) drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content, (3) final approval of the version to be submitted. The name, postal address, email address, phone and FAX numbers of the corresponding author should be provided. Authors should supply the names and email ad

18、dresses of 3 to 5 potential reviewers for their manuscript. To provide an international perspective, no more than 2 potential reviewers should be from the same country. Please do not suggest reviewers from your own institution, previous or current collaborators or Editorial Board members. Without re

19、viewer suggestions, processing of the manuscript may be delayed. Please do not contact any reviewers that you have suggested. 20、 converts source files into a single Adobe Acrobat PDF version of the article, which is used in the peer review process. Please note that although manuscript source files are converted to PDF at submission for the review process, these source files are needed for further processing after acceptance.
