2、icates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the U.S.Department of Defense.1.Scope1.1 This classification covers ceiling products that provideacoustical performance

3、and interior finish in buildings.Prod-ucts used in performance spaces and other special applicationsmay require more detailed specification than provided by thisclassification.1.2 This classification classifies acoustical ceilings by type,pattern,and certain ratings for acoustical performance,lightr

4、eflectance,and fire safety.It does not cover the aspects ofacoustical ceilings when used as a component of a system orassembly tested for fire endurance or floor/ceiling soundtransmission.1.3 This classification does not include physical properties,such as structural hardness,friability,sag,linear e

5、xpansion andcontraction,and transverse strength,which may affect thehandling,installation,and use of acoustical ceiling products(see Test Methods C367).1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that
