5、tergents23.Terminology3.1 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.1.1 Tetrasodium pyrophosphate(anhydrous)shall be awhite,uniform product in either granular,powdered,or flakeform,as specified by the purchaser.4.Ordering Information4.1 Tetrasodium pyrophosphate(anhydrous)shall be pur-chased
6、by net weight.When,however,due to hygroscopicitythe tetrasodium pyrophosphate content is less than 97.5%,acorresponding gain in weight of the package shall be expected,and the net weight shall be based on a product containing97.5%of tetrasodium pyrophosphate.The net weight of thematerial to be paid

8、e seller waives the right to invoicethe purchaser for any amount in excess of 100%.5.Chemical Composition5.1 Tetrasodium pyrophosphate(anhydrous),as received,shall conform to the requirements as to chemical compositionprescribed in Table 1.6.Sampling and Analysis6.1 The material shall be sampled and
9、 analyzed in accor-dance with Test Methods D 501.7.Rejection7.1 Material which has picked up sufficient water,as indi-cated by loss on ignition,to reduce the tetrasodium pyrophos-phate content to 95%or lower,may be rejected at the optionof the purchaser.1This specification is under the jurisdiction
