16、4.1 Aspecimen is abraded using rotary rubbing action undercontrolled conditions of pressure and abrasive action. The testspecimen, mounted on a turntable platform, turns on a verticalaxis, against the sliding rotation of two abrading wheels.Oneabrading wheel rubs the specimen outward toward the periph-ery and the other, inward toward the center while a vacuumsystem removes wear debris generated during the test.Theresulting abrasion marks form a pattern of crossed arcs over anarea of approximately 30
