14、se fittings are intended for use with seamless coppertubeconformingtothestandardspecificationsASTMB88(forwaterandgeneralplumbingsystems),ASTMB280(forairconditioningandrefrigerationservice),andASTMB819(formedicalgassystems).FollowingapprovalbytheStandardsCommittee and ASME,this Standard was approved

15、as an American National Standard on October 11,2001,with thedesignation ASME B16.50-2001.Inthe2013edition,referencestoASMEstandardswererevisedtonolongerlistspecificeditionyears;thelatesteditionofASMEpublicationapplies,unlessstatedotherwise.Alsointhe2013edition,Tables3andI-3includedamaximumcuplengthu

16、nderthecolumnheadingshownas“Depth,G.”FollowingapprovalbytheB16StandardsCommitteeandtheASMEsupervisory board,and after public review,the 2013 edition of the Standard was approved as an American NationalStandard by the American National Standards Institute(ANSI)on May 28,2013.Inthe2018edition,theU.S.CustomarytablesformerlyinMandatoryAppendixIweremergedwiththeSItablesinthemain text;the tables and figures were redesignated,Mandatory Appendix I was deleted,and the cross-references wereupdatedaccordin
