8、ispotentiometric titration,the reaction involves the formation ofa complex between the quaternary ammonium compound andthe anionic surfactant which then precipitates.At the end point,the nitrate ion electrode appears to respond to an excess oftitrant with a potential change large enough to give a we
9、lldefined inflection in the titration curve.Alternatively thequaternary ammonium compound can be first complexed withan excess of standard sodium lauryl sulfate;the excess sodiumlauryl sulfate is titrated potentiometrically with standardHyamine 1622.34.Significance and Use4.1 This test method is use
