1、Designation:A289/A289M97(Reapproved 2013)Standard Specification forAlloy Steel Forgings for Nonmagnetic Retaining Rings forGenerators1This standard is issued under the fixed designation A289/A289M;the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or,in the case
2、of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers nonmagnetic alloy steel retain-ing ring forgings for generators.1.2 The
3、values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents;therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently of the other.Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in non-conformancewith the standard
4、.1.3 Unless the order specifies the applicable“M”specifica-tion designation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound units.2.Referenced Documents2.1 ASTM Standards:2A342/A342M Test Methods for Permeability of FeeblyMagnetic MaterialsA370 Test Methods and Definitions for Mechanical Testingof
